Kathmandu Valley is believed to be protected by four Ganeshas on all directions. Chandravinayak is one of them. Chandravinayak Temple, built in pagoda style, has a medium structure. During any puja or ceremony, it is considered auspicious to worship Ganesha before any other deity. It is a tradition to bring Vatsaleshwori Yatra to Chandravinayak every year. On Tuesdays, a long queue of devotees can be seen at the temple from early morning.
