Guheshwari Ghat

Guheshwori Ghat is a sacred ghat along the Bagmati River. Primarily used for Hindu cremation rituals and religious ceremonies. Its name is derived from “Guheshwori”, meaning “Goddess of the Cave” or “Hidden Goddess”, linking the site to divine feminine energy and local spiritual traditions.

Like other ghats near Pashupatinath, Guheshwori Ghat holds both ritual and cultural significance, serving as a place for cremation, ancestor worship, and personal devotion.
