The Gorakhnath temple is constructed in typical shikhar style. The structure , which dates to the eighteenth century, houses the paduka ( footprint) of Guru Gorakhnath. It is dedicated to the revered Hindu saint Gorakhnath, the founder of Hatha Yoga. The temple also includes a sculpture of his guru Machhendranath. A shrine of goddess Manakamana lies nearby the Gorakhnath Temple.
