The temple of Vatsaleshwori has two roofs and appears to have been built in the Nepali pagoda style. In the sanctum sanctorum of this temple, there is no idol but a quadrangle-layered stone slab, which is worshipped as Vatsala, the consort of the Lord Shiva. The struts and pylons of this temple are very artistic and foreign tourists, pilgrims and devotees throng the temple premises all the time.
